Workshop Schedule and Registration
To keep your Grandparented Water Operator
Certification valid, you are required to do two things:
1. Obtain the proper amount of contact hours for your certification level(s)
during each three-year cycle in which your certification is applicable.
2. Attend ONE of the IDEM approved training courses (Indiana Water Operator
Training workshop) for the types of certifications you hold prior to June 30,
2008.
The team of the Indiana Section-American Water Works Association (InAWWA) and
the Indiana Rural Water Association (IRWA) was awarded a contract from IDEM to
conduct the "IDEM approved training course" for grandparented and facility
specific operators. The workshops listed below are part of the 48 workshops in
2008 which we are offering. You are required to attend ONE of these workshops to
keep your grandparented or facility specific water operator certification valid.
Failure to do so will result in the loss of your grandparented or facility
specific water operator certification.
Each workshop will be tailored to the certification levels of those in
attendance. Registration begins at 7:30am (local time) and the workshop will
start promptly at 8:00am. Each workshop will be a minimum of 4 hours, with
additional time added as needed to meet the certification requirements of the
attendees (up to 8 hours). If necessary, lunch will be provided. There is no
charge for these workshops.
Contact hours will be awarded for your attendance. While you may attend as many
of these IWOT workshops as you desire, you will only receive contact hours for
the IWOT workshop once per year. Each workshop attendee will receive an
operator's manual, posters, and a disk with the lessons to use for future
reference. If you have attended one of the previous IWOT workshops and received
an operator's manual, we ask that you bring it with you to all subsequent IWOT
workshops you attend.

is limited to 50 persons per site. If the site is able to accommodate more
attendees, we will extend the limits.
